A GOSPEL-CENTERED PEOPLE...
“A gospel-centered people… for the glory of God.” – this describes our identity as a community of disciples of Jesus, the church, centered on the gospel. We are a people who are saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and live for His glory alone.
Our vision is to be a gospel-centered church that makes disciples of Jesus who love God and loves others. The gospel moves us to share our lives with one another, to worship together on Sunday, and to be faithful to Jesus by completing the Great Commission of making disciples both locally and globally.
This means Atlanta Road Alliance Church is not just a service on Sunday morning, but a gospel-centered community that seeks to love God in all His glory and love one another through the proclamation and demonstration of the gospel.
At
Identity in Jesus Christ
This means that we define ourselves by what Jesus has done on the cross (2 Cor. 5:18). We are not defined by what we have done, do, or the things that we have (2 Peter 2:9-12). Jesus is our all in all. In the Christian & Missionary Alliance, we come to understand this deeper life with Christ as the “fourfold” gospel: knowing Jesus as our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King. He is the A to Z of our salvation. We never outgrow the gospel. Jesus is our highest affection and His written Word is our highest authority.
Worship
The gospel unites us to God and we therefore value worshiping God together on Sunday just as we have been throughout our week. We gather to hear from God's Word so that we live a life of faith lived for the glory and pleasure of God. (Isaiah 43:6-7)
Community
As the gospel unites us to one another, we embrace living together as a community or body of Christ. This means we place
a high priority on our Life Groups and personal relationships. (Heb 10:24-26, 2 Cor. 5:18).
In the gospel, Jesus sends us, as the church, into the world to make disciples of all nations. We are a missions church that wants to see the gospel spread locally and globally. (Matt. 28:18-20)
From Guest to Member...
Many equate “church” with a Sunday morning service or gathering. While our Sunday Worship Gathering is certainly important, we remember that the church is a people. This is why we encourage those attending as guests to eventually become a Member.
